I came to this work because of my own experience in being treated
with acupuncture for headaches. Studying acupuncture was one of
the best decisions I made in my life; the work is very fulfilling.
I think that we are each responsible for our own health and that
as a health practitioner, I can walk in partnership with each
patient. The patient “owns” his/her body and has a right to know
what I’m doing and thinking, and I bring my expertise to the
partnership. I am not in the business of “fixing” but, rather, of
“healing.”
On the personal front, I hail from a small town in Illinois and
have lived in Columbia since 1971. My two grown children and
grandchild live in Arizona, so my husband and I like to make trips
out there several times a year. I love to crochet.
