My name is Sharon M. Smith - I go by Sherry. I studied acupuncture
at the Tai Sophia Institute for the Healing Arts (it used to be
called the Traditional Acupuncture Institute) and graduated in
1989 with a Master’s in Acupuncture. I also hold a Certificate in
Chinese Herbs and am recognized as a Diplomate by the NCCAOM (a
national accrediting organization). To balance my work as a
partner in Acupuncture Associates of Columbia practicing
acupuncture and Chinese Herbology, I am a Division Chair and
Director of the Student Clinic and teacher at Tai Sophia
Institute. I love having this mix of functions. The teaching keeps
my practice fresh; there is always the opportunity to see new
treatment possibilities through my students’ eyes.
