I have been a licensed practitioner of acupuncture since 1985, the
year I graduated from The Traditional Acupuncture Institute,
currently Tai Sophia Institute located in Laurel, Maryland.
In 1999 I became certified to treat animals with acupuncture and
I now co-teach the equine portion of the Animal Certification
Course offered by the state of Maryland.
From 1988 until 2002 I served on the faculty at the Traditional
Acupuncture Institute. From 1993 until 2002 I was the Academic
Dean of the Master of Acupuncture Program at Tai Sophia.
My work as an acupuncturist brings me great joy. It is a
privilege to share in the lives of my patients in such personal
ways. I see my role in the treatment room not only as a
practitioner but also as an educator, sharing what I have
learned about cultivating and maintaining a high level of
wellness, body, mind and spirit.
I am an avid vegetable gardener, and companion to two ‘awesome
Aussies’, a wonderful Egyptian Arabian horse and seven
delightful chickens.
